Mahnomen County is a county in Northwest Minnesota. It was named for the Ojibway word for wild rice.
The seat and largest city is Mahnomen. This county is one of the most rural in Minnesota.
It borders Polk, Clearwater, Becker and Norman Counties.
Main highways include US-59, MN-113 and MN-200.
